Thought for the Week
My wife: “Grab my a drink from the fridge.”
Me: **stares blankly in the fridge for two minutes
My wife: **walks behind me, reaches over my shoulder, grabs the drink from in front of my face.
It's pathetic how often this scenario repeats. 🤦🏻♂️
The thing about focus
Why do these things happen? Because your mind is elsewhere. And when your mind is somewhere else, it's hard to focus on the task at hand.
Branding is the same way:
It doesn't matter what you say your brand is about if your content and words are always elsewhere.
When this happens, people can’t focus on you.
How to keep focus
Now, the question remains; where did your mind go went you weren’t focused? It went where it always goes: to the things you truly care about!
Crafting a TRUE Vision Statement is key to staying focused. A true vision incorporates the thing your mind is always on already.
When you capture and position, it will guide all your actions and decisions. It'll keep you consistent, focused, and open new opportunities you never thought of.
This will also keep your audience from losing focus wondering why they came to look at you in the first place...
Homework
Here are 4 questions to guide you to a clearer vision for your brand:
What do you want to be known for?
What impact do you want to make?
What brings you joy?
What things are you always doing?
Now, craft these into a statement using these Bonus tips

Concise - one sentence is best!
Make it inexhaustible - if you can FULLY accomplish it, it’s too small.
